My Story
When I wasn’t traveling the United States, I was busy getting an education. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and have recently completed my EMT-Basic and now Paramedic training. During this time of obtaining my formal education, I was given the opportunity to work with computers through my work-study job on Campus at Illinois Wesleyan University. After becoming quite adept with troubleshooting various programs on Windows and Mac operating systems, I began to assist as a technology coordinator for my Church. That led to a business opportunity and Joyful Productions was born!
Now, when I’m not busy working on websites, Search Engine Optimization, or helping keep certain Musical Productions organized, the Mt. Morris Fire Protection District keeps me busy saving lives. I’ve always been empathetic to those who are suffering. When people call 911, they are in a crisis. To be able to assist individuals at that point when they really need it most is one of the most fulfilling things in my life. It is so rewarding to know that I am actually making a difference in people’s lives.
While I am starting on the streets, picking people up and bringing them to the hospital, I hope to one day be able to care for them once they get to the hospital. Since I was 10 or 12 years old, I have aspired to become a physician. Medical School has been elusive, but it can’t evade me forever!
